Our Promise
Public Safety
Every person, regardless of where they live in our city, deserves to feel safe in their homes and communities. While some politicians are focused on rhetoric that offers little vision and fewer solutions, our coalition is laser-focused on building a safer Minneapolis for everyone. We are committed to:
Taking continued action to rebuild the Minneapolis Police Department's ranks with diverse, community-oriented, and professional officers.
Standing against the Trump administration and implementing every single reform outlined in the consent decree and state agreement.
Expanding Minneapolis’s comprehensive public safety system to ensure every call receives the appropriate response.
Improving public safety and strengthening the bonds of our community by activating parks and connecting neighbors through specific programming.
Responsible Budgets
We are dedicated to prioritizing excellent basic city services, including our parks, before funding unproven programs. As city leaders, we will be careful stewards of your tax dollars using data to guide us as we fund what works and cut what doesnt. It's imperative that we maintain stable finances because we know that working families and small business owners feel the effects of high property taxes the most. We will:
Budget responsibly to account for federal uncertainty while protecting local priorities like housing, safety, climate, and economic inclusion.
Double down on proven programs like Stable Homes Stable Schools, and the Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
Prioritize strong capital investments in our infrastructure to keep our city moving.
Affordable Housing
Minneapolis is a national leader in affordable housing. In a County where rent prices skyrocket and it becomes harder and harder every day for Americans to afford their basic needs, Minneapolis has been dedicated to expanding access to deeply affordable housing. Our coalition will continue this necessary work by:
Expanding pathways to homeownership in underserved communities and closing the racial homeownership gap.
Continuing to accelerate the production of housing, from deeply affordable to senior housing, throughout the city.
Ensuring that rents remain low by building over 12,000 new housing units to keep up with demand.
Small Businesses & Workers
Our coalition recognizes that investing in our small businesses, artists, and innovators—the backbone of our city—is what drives Minneapolis' success. We are committed to supporting our business and workers by:
Ensuring fair pay and good benefits for our working class.
Investing in cultural districts and corridors, creating commerce that reflects the diversity of our city.
Bolstering our infrastructure, transit, and public spaces to foster economic growth and opportunity in every neighborhood.
Climate CHange
Our City is nationally recognized for our lakes and rivers, wildlife, native plants, and beautiful green spaces. Our coalition is dedicated to maintaining the natural beauty of Minneapolis and addressing the climate crisis by:
Expanding our tree canopy to improve air quality and offset our carbon output.
Continue to make investments in projects through the Climate Legacy Initiative, focused on achieving accelerated, equitable climate action over the next ten years.
Funding our City’s Climate Equity Plan to achieve Minneapolis’ goal of significantly reducing pollution by 2030 and becoming carbon neutral by 2050.
stand By Our Values
Our Coalition will not let Trump tarnish the progress Minneapolis has made and will stand firm against the attacks against our Immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities. We will fight the Trump administration in court and through legislation by:
Ensuring the citizens of Minneapolis - regardless of the color of their skin, where they’re from, what they worship, or who they love - live with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Continue to implement the public safety reform outlined in our consent decree and state agreement.
Safeguard LGBTQ+ rights locally and expand gender-affirming health coverage for city employees.
Protecting the reproductive rights of our citizens and out-of-state neighbors by being a safe haven for reproductive rights.
